Klein: Marshall in the Big Apple?
It is tough to say who has worse problems at the wide out position, the Jets or the Giants. Well, the Jets are in talks to make their WR core from one of the worst to one of the best in the league.
Jets' General Manager Mike Tannenbaum is supposedly in talks with Pat Bowlen of the Denver Broncos to acquire disgruntled WR Brandon Marshall.
Newsday has reported that they are not the only team in the talks, but they are the most serious contenders for Baby T.O..
The only problem with the trade is that the Broncos would want a player that would help their team NOW along with a future draft pick. The reason for this is that Marshall is a free agent after this season so they might as well keep Marshall's services for the year and then tag him and trade him at a tender such as a teams 1st and 3rd round picks.
The Jets do have something that could really help the Broncos now, QB Kellen Clemens. I personally feel that Kellen Clemens is an upgrade at quarterback when it comes to Kyle Orton and Chris Simms. Orton was never meant to be a starting quarterback in this league. Although he has shown he can win games in Chicago, he will not do it in Denver. Does Denver truly believe that Orton is their future, if so, that is a joke!
A team that has a quarterback to trade will have a huge impact on what happens with Brandon Marshall and where he plays this season.

I'm not saying Kellen Clemens won't be involved for a trade for Marshall, but if you think he's the best quarterback that the Broncos can get for him than I think you're even more of an idiotic Jets fan than I've gathered from reading your posts.
ReplyDeleteIn ESPN's ranking of the back-up quarterbacks in the league, Clemens ranked #16. Not only that, he ranked BEHIND the Broncos back-up QB in Chris Simms.
Additionally, I'd like to see some more evidence from you as to why Orton won't win games in Denver with arguably a better offense than he had in Chicago.
I am going to address each of your 3 points...
ReplyDelete1st point- Kellen Clemens is NOT the best quarterback that the Broncos can get for him and I NEVER said that. He is the best quarterback that the Broncos can get from teams that need a wide receiver.
2nd point- the 15 teams before the Jets in those rankings do not need a #1 WR nor do they have the $12 million dollars in cap space to pay a pro-bowler like Marshall
3rd point-Your going to try and tell me that Orton has a better offense in Denver than in Chicago?!
With Marshall off the field the Broncos have Eddie Royal and Brandon Stokley. Royal does not have the size to be a strong #1 WR, he fits in that offense as the 2nd WR. And Stokley will never be anything more than the slot WR he was in Indy. The Bears wide outs were not very strong either so I will give you that. Also, The Bears have one of the best runnings backs in the league where as the Broncos have a rookie starting running back in Moreno. Aside from Ryan Clady and Ben Hamilton the Broncos have 3 horrible other lineman. Now look at the Bears line. Pace (one of the best ever), Beekman, Kruetz (top-3 center in the league), Garza, Williams (young, strong 1st round pick).
Overall, the Bears have a stronger offense.
How idiotic am I now?
I sound more idiotic...think again
ReplyDeleteLets look at the offenses
WR- TIE
RB- Bears by a longshot
O-line- Bears by a longshot
TE- Bears
Tell me how on earth the Broncos offense is better...please!
How on earth do you think Greg Olsen is a better tight end? You're retarded. Kevin Boss is a wayyyyy better tight end. The Broncos are so much better you ninkumpoop.
