Klein: NFL Quick Hits of the Day

-Next year the NFL Draft will begin Thursday night and end Saturday night to make the draft more accessible to fans. The first round will begin April 22nd at 7:30 PM, rounds two and three will take place the next night, Friday the 23rd, at 6:30 PM and finally it will be wrapped up Saturday the 24th at 10:00 AM. Roger Goodell made the decision based on the fact that Thursday night is the most-watched night of television of the week so therefore it was clear that more fans would be able to catch the birth of a fresh NFL season at Radio City Music Hall in New York City.

- Vikings' coach Brad Childress told the Associated Press that he has "no expectations" about Favre possibly coming to Minnesota.

-Despite being 32, Antoine Winfield signed a new deal today for 5 year/$36 million with $16 million guaranteed. This money has been well earned by the Ohio State alum by his 2008 campaign that included 11 deflected passes and 4 forced fumbles.

-Two second-round DBs were locked up today, Falcons S William Moore and Dolphins CB Sean Smith. Moore and the Falcons reached a deal on a 4 year/$3.35 million deal with $1.6 in guaranteed money. Smith and the 'Fins agreed to terms on a 4 year contract for an undisclosed amount of money.
