TE Sleeper: Dustin Keller (NYJ)
This 2nd-year tight end is worth a lot more than what you think. Last season he had 48 receptions, 535 yards, and 3 TDs but expect those numbers to change. Keller became the starter in Week 10 last year and in the previous weeks he held the clipboard for TE Chris Baker. In his 7 weeks as a starter (4 of them with an injured Brett Favre) he had 78 targets, which is a VERY key number for Keller. To give you a comparison, Pro-Bowl TE Antonio Gates had 92 targets last season and started all 16 games. The number 78 is a very promising number for Keller and it will only grow as they groom a young Sanchez to be their franchise quarterback. Keller's small frame gives the Jets more options for where they can put him on the field. The fact that he is faster than most TEs gives him the opportunity to play in the slot and get looks in the seam all day long. What makes Keller so valuable in drafts is that the Jets have close to no playmakers at the WR position so that makes Keller somewhat of a wide out. His versatility and athleticism will turn him into a top-5 tight end by seasons and could very well be making a trip to the Pro Bowl. Look for Keller to have around 75-80 receptions this year with around 820 yards and 7 TDs. Keller would be an exceptional value pick in the 9th round of your draft.
