Cramer: Night of Baseball Recap
In a night of baseball that featured 8 games, there were several stories worth mentioning.
- Cliff Lee pitched a complete game giving up one run. His numbers at this point frankly are unbelievable, and not in a good way. Lee has a 3.31 ERA... good right? You would think so, but he has a 5-9 record to go along with it. The Indians have now failed to put it all together with a talented team for 2 straight seasons after their promising 2007 campaign.
- Ervin Santana finally got a win, moving his record to 2-5 in a 6-2 victory over the A's
- The Mets lost... oh wait, that's not news.
- Jim Riggleman coached his first game for the Nats. However, the Nats stayed the course and lost again this time courtesy of Derrek Lee and the Cubs, 6-2.
- Ryan Howard became the fastest player to 200 home-runs. Thank god, right? We might finally have someone to break the home-run record who hasn't officially been caught doing steroids. Wrong. Although Howard was the fastest to 200, he is already 29 and would be lucky to get above 550 home-runs for his career.
- Manny Ramirez played his first home game since his return from his suspension. The Dodgers lost 3-0 against the Astros, and Manny went 1-4 with 2 strikeouts.
Another fabulous day in the world of baseball, the cleanest game on the planet... Please, if you love baseball, write an article and send it to ZeusOfSport@Gmail.com.
