Cramer: Three Biggest Disappointments

Alright so I already gave you my three biggest surprises of the first half (and pleasant ones at that), but what about the three biggest disappointments? There are more than 3, but I narrowed it down for the purpose of not boring you... here you go:

1. The Washington Wizards- this one's not even close. A team that has been down for the last 2 years due to injuries started the season fresh. Yeah, Antawn Jamison started the season out with a shoulder injury (but who cares right? he shoots 0-12 anyway), but they got Agent Zero back and got a great first half from Brendan Haywood (by his standards). So what happened to this team? Why didn't they live up to my gutsy prediction of a four seed in the east (boy, was I wrong)? Obviously it's easy to blame this all on Gilbert's gun incident, but this team was going down hill long before that. I think this can all be traced back to the firing of Eddie Jordan (and that's saying a lot considering he's not having much success in Philly). He had this team on the right track whenever they had a full cast of players, and ever since he left, this team has continued to lose. To cap it all of, they now lost their big 3 (Butler to the Mavs, Jamison to the Cavs, and Arenas to... who knows where he is right now?), and got nothing in return other than Josh Howard... who apparently smokes weed and plays basketball games hungover. The situation in Washington is an absolute mess and I would like to sincerely apologize to Z on behalf of the Cavs organization for making him spend even a few days as an official member of this franchise... be safe Z.

2. San Antonio Spurs- I had this team on my early season Championship watch. They added Richard Jefferson and Antonio McDyess to their already accomplished core... and they've fallen greatly. Timmy is still his regular self, perhaps playing one of his better seasons, but this team just can't get it together. If the season ended today they'd be 7th seed, and likely be ousted by the Nuggets in the first round rather handily. It's hard to say that a playoff team is a
disappointment until they lose in the playoffs, but this team definitely can be considered that. Hopefully they can get it together sooner rather than later so we can see some fundamental ball in the second season.

3. New Jersey Nets- No one thought they'd be good, but all I really have to say for this one is "5-50". This is possibly the worst team of all time (record-wise). It's weird though, they have a pretty good young core in Brook Lopez, Courtney Lee, and Devin Harris (not to mention Yi and Rafer Alston (who's gone now). Given those players and their abilities, the Nets have to be considered a huge
disappointment despite their low expectations entering the season. They had to post a mediocre record to be in the LeBron sweepstakes, but they didn't, and now they're out of it.

Honorable Mention- Jamison's 0-12 debut with the Cavs.
